3. Incentive scheme for Life Members

An incentive scheme has been formulated and will be applicable until March 31, 2006. It will automatically lapse after this date. This scheme supercedes all previously announced schemes. Details of the scheme are as under:

• PRBA will provide monetary incentives to its Life Members for the following achievements (subject to conditions listed later):
  • Finishing among the first 32 teams in the Ruia Gold Cup (Rs. 1000 per eligible player)
  • Finishing in and playing the Finals of the Holkar trophy (Rs. 1000 per eligible player)
  • Finishing first or second in the National Categorised Pairs (Rs. 1000 per eligible player)
  • Finishing among the first four teams in the Maharashtra State Championships (primary IMP event)
  • Being selected to represent Maharashtra in the Aggarwala pairs by participating in the Selection Trials conducted for this purpose. The concerned pair should have featured in the original list of qualifiers. (Rs. 1000 per eligible player). These pairs will be given an additional incentive award of Rs. 1000 per player if the pair reaches the finals of the Aggarwala trophy. A pair playing for Maharashtra because of a selected pair dropping out or by virtue of being nominated does not qualify.
  • winning the Selection Trials for choosing the second Maharashtra team (Rs. 1000 per eligible player).
  • finishing among the first four teams in the T.P. Khosla trophy
  • Reaching the finals of the Aggarwala trophy after having qualified to play for Maharashtra by participating in the Selection Trials (Rs. 1000 per eligible player).
  • One pair representing the PRBA in an out of state tournament by virtue of qualifying through a Selection Trials conducted for this purpose will be given Rs. 500/- per player. This will be awarded only to the pair that has actually participated in both, the Selection tournament as well as the tournament for which these Selections Trials were held.
• There will be no incentives other than the ones listed above.
• This incentive is available only to Life Members of the PRBA.
• Members who have attained the rank of Life Master in the BFI rankings will be eligible for these incentives only if:
  • For incentives related to team events, at least three members of their team should be life members of the PRBA
  • For incentives related to pairs events, both members of their pair should be life members of the PRBA
• In case of any dispute including a dispute related to the interpretation of these rules, the decision of the Executive Committee will be final and binding on all.
• The EC may at its sole discretion decide to award other incentives.
